IRON QUESTIONS CHAMBERS

OF  COMMERCE  DOUBLETALK

State newspapers are full of Chambers of Commerce ‘lofty goals’ for creating jobs and getting the Oklahoma economy going forward

This STATE BODY passed HB1804 to stop income tax evasion and defraud Oklahoma with schemes of misclassification of workers.  YES, the bill is constitutional and enforced

LAWSUITS from the U.S. CHAMBER and local Chambers of Commerce against the People of Oklahoma, legal workers, and rule of law resulted.   Denver’s 10th  Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of HB1804 – OK Judge, needs to lift injunctions on 2 sections.    WHERE is justice?

AZ STATE HOUSE passed legislation to revoke or suspend a company’s license if they hired illegal aliens and AZ1070 requiring E-Verify for employment and law enforcers to ask ‘legal status’ for those detained and trespassing in the state

LAWSUITS resulted from the U.S. CHAMBER and local Chambers of Commerce and the Federal Government  THEY divided a nation against itself!  Where is justice?

You need not even wonder where the Chambers of Commerce stands on   JOBS,   TAXES,   ILLEGAL LABOR,  AMERICAN WORKERS

TO REMOTELY BELIEVE  the Chambers’  goal is creation of jobs when their actions destroy any chance a State has to employ legal Americans and generate Fica/Futa taxes

 IS  SHERE  FANTACY.

THEY ARE COMING BACK.

Oklahoma will need more that $500 million to pay to subsidize the 30,000 added illegals coming from Arizona and New Mexico

TULSA WORLD    Illegal immigrant numbers up in state 2/13/2011

The undocumented population in Oklahoma has risen by about 36 percent since 2007, according to a recent Pew Hispanic Center report. … Oklahoma’s est. shows growth from about 55,000 in 2007 to 75,000 in 2010. The report presents a range because of a small statistical sample size.  (After passage of HB1804 in 2007, it was estimated 30,000 illegals left Oklahoma – no real threat by county law enforcement brought them back.    Pressure Governor Fallin  to enforce HB1804)    Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana show significant gains – elected leaders are at fault

Senate Bill 898    would require that state citizens be born in the U.S.; be a resident of Oklahoma; be the child of at least one parent who owes no allegiance to any foreign sovereignty, or be a child without citizenship or nationality in any foreign country.    Shortey said the denial of Oklahoma citizenship would prohibit illegal immigrants from owning property.

NOW in Appropriations Committee  (committee listed below)

=======================================================================================================

Senate Bill 908   mirrors federal statutes on racketeering and corrupt organizations, identifying property that may be seized and forfeited upon conviction. Sen. Ralph Shortey, R-Oklahoma City.

Bill allows property seizure for immigration crimes,  provides law enforcement with incentive to enforce immigration laws, and puts an end to the charade of  DA or District Judge habitually turning illegals to the street

“The law establishes a burden of proof on seizure proceedings, requiring proof that a person knowingly and willingly entered into a contract with the intention of breaking the law.”

Shortey noted that through Tulsa County’s involvement in the Federal Government’s 287 (g) Program, the County has netted $6.9 million through asset seizure and forfeiture with a significant percentage of those funds  dedicated to the Tulsa County Jail Fund. The program authorizes the federal government to enter into agreements with local law enforcement, permitting authorized officers to perform immigration related functions.

“We want all of our local law enforcement agencies to be able to approach the enforcement of immigration law in just this fashion, without the application process,” Shortey said. “I’ve always been told that we can pass whatever we like, but it means nothing if law enforcement doesn’t have the ability and incentive to enforce the law. This measure would alleviate both concerns.”

Senate Bill 908 must now be considered by the Senate Appropriations Committee.
